Who is responsible for your information?
Evan G’s Menswear is the data controller responsible for personal information collected through this website and for handling your enquiries. Information collected and its purpose
The contact form requests your name, email address, optional telephone number, optional enquiry subject and optional message. When email delivery is enabled, these details are sent to the designated enquiry mailbox so that your enquiry can be addressed. The website does not maintain an enquiry database. Please do not include payment details, identification documents or sensitive personal information.
We process enquiries about potential purchases or hire services to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Other business enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. Security processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the website and preventing abuse.
Cookies and security information
The static website does not use a Flask session cookie or analytics or advertising cookies. When online enquiries are enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical browser and network information for security verification. Verification must succeed before an enquiry can be sent. The browser stores only submission status in session storage to help prevent duplicate enquiries; it does not store enquiry details or verification tokens there.
The enquiry service uses a keyed hash of your network address for abuse prevention. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Cloudflare may also process network addresses and technical access logs to operate and protect the website.
Service providers and external links
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and provides Turnstile verification. When online enquiries are enabled, Resend processes the enquiry details to deliver email to the shop’s designated mailbox. The mailbox provider also processes delivered enquiries. Cloudflare provides website hosting and security, including Turnstile bot protection, and processes website requests and technical information such as IP addresses and browser signals. Cloudflare acts as a processor when providing Turnstile protection on our behalf and as a controller when using signals to improve its bot detection. When the enquiry form sends email, Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) processes the enquiry content and contact details to deliver it and maintains delivery and API records. Its published data processing addendum distinguishes processing on customers’ behalf from its independent control of account and usage data. During initial launch and delivery verification, form enquiries are delivered to the website operator’s Gmail mailbox for handling on behalf of Evan G’s Menswear. After the approved handover, form enquiries will be delivered to the shop’s Yahoo Mail mailbox. Yahoo Mail also handles messages sent directly to our published contact email. Mailbox providers process message content, addresses and associated technical information. Under their consumer-service privacy terms, Google and Yahoo act as controllers for their own processing, not solely as processors acting on our instructions. These services involve international processing, including in the United States, and are not restricted to Ireland or the European Economic Area. Cloudflare and Google describe reliance on applicable adequacy decisions, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses where appropriate. Resend’s published addendum provides Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant transfers and states its participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Yahoo describes reliance on adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. These are the providers’ published arrangements, not a claim that every account-specific agreement or setting has been independently verified. Further information is available in the providers’ privacy policies: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ (and https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/), https://resend.com/legal/dpa, https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://legal.yahoo.com/ie/en/yahoo/privacy/index.html. Contact us for further information about relevant transfer safeguards and how to obtain a copy.
The directions link opens Google Maps. Information provided to that service is covered by its privacy terms. Maps are not embedded in this website.
Retention
We retain ordinary enquiries and related correspondence for 12 months after the last correspondence, then delete the copies under our control, including mailbox and downloaded copies. If particular records are needed to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we retain only what is necessary for that purpose for as long as required. The 12-month period is not a deletion deadline for every record held by our providers. Email-delivery records, security logs, Turnstile signals and provider backups have separate retention and deletion arrangements. Resend advertises 30-day data retention on its standard transactional plans, but this is not a guarantee that all provider records or backups are deleted within 30 days. Cloudflare retains information according to its service, security and legal purposes; its Turnstile privacy addendum does not specify a fixed retention period. Google and Yahoo retain mailbox content until it is deleted or otherwise removed under their account policies, with additional deletion, backup, security and legal retention where applicable. Google states that deletion generally takes around two months and encrypted backups can retain data for up to six months, with exceptions and possible delays. Deleting an enquiry from our mailbox does not immediately erase all provider-held copies or records retained for providers’ own lawful purposes. You may contact us about retention or request deletion before the ordinary retention period ends, subject to applicable law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the shop using the details above. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
